Very difficult to use

The first time I used this a couple of years ago went smoothly without a hitch. This time, nothing but problems. I don't know if it's I'm in the US, trying to use the app to plan my trip. Every time I open the app, I'm told I have been blocked due to various reasons. Even after I solve the visual verification, I am not able to proceed to use the app. This is a serious problem. Captcha's are for browsers, not apps. Yet, I'm asked to verify over & over. It's so unuseable I am considering just going to the browser. Please fix this issue.

Just downloaded and can't create a user

It says error but I don't know if it's on my end or the app. It's a constant loop frome create a user to error and back fo create a user.

You need to let your UX designer go!

Navigation is so confusing! So many fields and useless graphics! It takes something like 8 click to buy a simple city to city train ticket (that is when your bank info is already in). Not to mention Google Ads and pop-ups nobody reads. Please simplify the app UX, and UI for the next rev. This version is a design disgrace for the self appointed French tech. Merci.

Not working

I’m trying to book a ticket between Annecy and Geneva airport and it’s only offering me journeys that only cover 10% of the length of the trip. this is pathetic.

Choisir sa place / affichage ne fonctionne pas !!!!!

L’affichage des places dans un TGV ne s’affiche pas correctement… ligne horizontale au lieu de la vue du wagon… merci de corriger ce bug au plus vite !

Calendar access

This app is the only app on my phone that requires full access to my calendar in order to function. All my other apps accept “Add Events Only” access. This app doesn’t. This needs to be fixed.

Poor service for first time travelers

La nouvelle mise à jour est vraiment très mauvaise, on ne voit pas les prix, c’est beaucoup moins intuitif et juste pas beau.

Complicated app

What a poor app. Strange interface, order of the fields to fill in, size of the fields (100 digits for a date?), position of the validate buttons (sometimes at the top, sometimes at the end of the page, far from the filled fields…), etc. And also: when you cancel your trip, the app continues to alert you about your trip. Really not good app. And nobody cares to update.

It looks like I’m just going to buy a ticket at the station, which means the App fails to achieve its purpose

Downloaded and tried to create needed logon ID. Failed with general error. Tried variations on name and phone number—still fails. Waste of time.

Unable to create an account

I have tried numerous times to create an account but I keep getting an error message that tells me nothing as to why. If I can’t create an account then the app has no purpose for me.

I am unable to save my name, date of birth, entering phone number even with country, will not work. Deleted.

A group of thieves

I bought a ticket, but the inspector only wanted to make the money : say this ticket not right, we just pay for it. Even though the ticket was valid, she insisted on me paying 35 or getting off the train. A group of thieves were distorting the name of Paris.

Too much advertisement and not User friendly

Comparing this to trenitalia , The Italian one is way better for hundred of years, this app has advertisements I don’t know why , the purpose should be gaining money selling tickets not with google ads and occupying users screen with big ads , and this doesn’t help at all user experience. This should be simple and objective. I don’t have a way to save my friends details or pay with my wallet registered CC . Not easy to identify the main stations in a city that has more than one. France has less trains timetable which doesn’t help and I filter the time to start showing trains available and that doesn’t work . It shows the trains they want starting way later than the time I selected In the filter.

Apple Pay c’est fini?

Après avoir mis à jour l’application, je ne peux plus payer avec Apple pay.

I’m shocked that Apple Pay has been removed. It’s impossible to get an e-approval on a cc when not connected to WiFi, but not an issue with Apple Pay. I have use this app so many times. Why Why Why ??

J’ai raté mon train à cause de cette application, pourquoi faut-il créer un compte pour acheter un billet de train en ligne?! Ensuite l’application demande les informations personnelles des voyageurs tel que nom, prénom, date de naissance, e-mail, et numéro de téléphone. Non seulement c’est une perte de temps monumentale mais la SNCF n’a absolument pas la nécessité de savoir ce genre d’information. Demandez-vous ces informations lors de l’achat à un guichet automatique ? Je ne crois pas. Comme d’habitude vous représentez parfaitement le service publique français. Une masse indiscernable d’incapables et de fainéants.

Frustration

Assez bon pour vous laisser réserver, mais le flux pourrait s'améliorer. Trop de fonctionnalités supplémentaires dont je n'ai pas besoin (hôtel, voiture... pourquoi ?). Et pourquoi ne peut-il plus me garder connecté ?! Je voyage toutes les quelques semaines et je dois me connecter à chaque fois. L’option « remember me » ne fonctionne pas !

Excellent app. Worked great for our trip to Paris

We used the SNCF app during our trip to Paris. It worked very well. We used it daily and didn’t have any issues with trains.

Something Went Wrong

That’s all this app does for me. Had to create an account on the website, book my first ticket on the website, and now it just refuses to book any more tickets. Complete fail of an app.

So easy to use

First time in France and so easy to get around the Côte d’Azur using the app. Made public transport so less stressful. Mercí!

Je ne comprends pas comment une application peut être de plus en plus nulle au cours du temps… Ça fait 30 ans que j’utilise le train, et si une chose n’a pas changé, ce que la SNCF évolue toujours de façon à ce que c’est la capacité des gens de la sncf de rendre le train le moins facile d’accès (de plus en plus cher, de moins en moins fiable) … Quand vous voulez prendre un billet, le matin, les premiers horaires qu’ils vous donnent sont en fin d’après-midi… Allez comprendre….

you have to click too many buttons just to buy a ticket. and it asks for the age multiple times it should be a much simpler design.

Clunky!

I didn’t believe this app could be as bad as my husband said, but then I downloaded it myself. Sheesh. It’s like someone wrote a slick interface / advertising front end onto a very clunky app. We managed to buy tickets with it, but not straightforward at all. We’ve just come from the Netherlands where their train app was super easy to use. Maybe SNCF should have a look there.

Easy to use and clearly organized

Non-responsive website

I created an account on the Sncf-connect website, with username (my email address) and password. Suddenly the site rejected my password, and won’t let me create a new one. The “reset password” prompt says it’s sent a reset code to my email account, but nothing in my inbox, nothing in spam. So now I’m locked out of my account! And try contacting a human at SNCF!

Very smooth and intuitive app

The app is fast and very well organized. It is like having a web browser of information at your fingertips.

Does not work!

Did not go past the cookies approval page! Used to work fine before (including before new iOS 17.3.1). Impossible to book trains more than 4 months in advance!

USA-can’t purchase TGV ahead of trip.

You can scan existing Navigo card and top off only option. No pricing shown for TGV or Metro lines. Does not show all available departures times for future travel. I have an account. No customer service response.

Not friendly to non French speakers

Can’t use subscription unless the language is set in French.

Better than anything we have in America

The app works well and the trains exceed my expectations as a public transport-less American.

Frustrating UX, opaque errors and unhelpful support

The app is pretty, but the User Experience is very frustrating, especially when you have to deal with nebulous errors. My partner’s Carte Avantage number stopped working and now we just get an “unexpected error” message during checkout. Support has been incredibly unhelpful (en français). Will be booking tickets from 3rd party apps whenever possible

Customer support non existent

Trying to do the most basic of tasks is impossible on this app. Their little support bot gets confused instantly and directs you to a French website… just have one question and can’t even ask at the train station because they are now Eurostar? Gah frustrating system
